CTC is a unique and
growing partnership among the area construction industry, the
School Boards of Manatee and Sarasota Counties and the Suncoast
Workforce Board.
CTC MISSION STATEMENT
Enhance and promote a construction
technology career program path utilizing the preapprentice programs
and facilities of the Manatee and Sarasota Schools. Strive to
increase future resources and opportunities for CTC youth, while
building the regional construction industry workforce.

CTC is an Awarding Winning
Best-Practice Model
In March 2005, CTC was honored with the
Theodore Small Award from the National Association of
Workforce Boards for developing this innovative business-drive
partnership and preapprentice program.
In May 2005, CTC was awarded a
District-Wide Partnership Award
from the Manatee Chamber of Commerce for its effective support
of career exploration programming with multiple schools in the
Manatee County School District. The Adult, Career and Technical
Education Department, led by Doug Wagner, nominated CTC for the
award.
